Travelling with a brick!

Relaxing on a fast train on the way to Cologne, pondering to myself - could this be the last time that I travel with a 1 kilo brick? I already travel with an Android smart phone and a laptop, full of Android apps, offline Google Maps, Lonely Planet PDF chapters, bookmarked websites, etc. Even with all of this, I still feel the need to bring a paper book. It is partly a backup in case of battery or other failure and partly so that I can get out a cheap book in a dark dingy street rather than an expensive electronic toy - that said, it is probably mostly simply an old habit. It does make me wonder, how many people travel with only electronic aids these days?
